What is the minimum order?

How fast will my earrings arrive?

Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and finished earrings ship in about 2 weeks — die-struck enamel needs longer because of tooling, and we will say so when we quote.

What is the difference between vermeil and gold plate?

Accepted Answer

Vermeil requires at least 10 karat gold, at least 2.5 microns thick, over solid sterling silver. Gold over brass is plate however thick, and flash plating under 2.5 microns is plate regardless of base. We plate to the standard and state it on the quote.

Are your earrings nickel free?

The titanium and surgical steel ranges are, throughout — post, clutch and components. Sterling and vermeil use sterling posts. We will always tell you exactly what the finding is made of rather than describing it loosely.

Can you make a custom shape?

Yes. Acrylic is laser cut to any outline with no die charge, and metal pieces are cast from CAD we model free from your sketch or artwork.

Do you supply retail packaging?

Accepted Answer

Yes — printed 350gsm cards with your logo, care line, metal statement and barcode, plus poly bags, kraft and rigid boxes. Everything arrives carded, bagged and sealed.

Do you redraw logos?

Yes, free. Send whatever file you have and our design team rebuilds it as clean vector art, adjusts anything too fine to cut or strike, and shows it at actual size.

Can I order a sample first?

Our minimum of 12 exists so you can hold the pair before committing to a range. Order a small batch, put it on a card, then scale up on exactly the same file.

It depends on the metal (sterling silver, gold vermeil, plated brass or zinc, titanium, acrylic), the plating or enamel colors, the finish, the packaging and the quantity, and the cost per pair comes down as the quantity grows. Customized Earrings does not publish price lists, because the same design quotes differently by material and run size. How long does it take to make custom earrings?

Accepted Answer

Standard turnaround at Customized Earrings is about 2 weeks after you approve the free mockup, which arrives within 24 hours. Die-struck enamel needs longer because of tooling, and express turnaround is available on request when a date is tight. Tell us your event or launch date when you request the quote.

What is the difference between gold vermeil and gold plated earrings?

Gold vermeil is gold of at least 10 karat, at least 2.5 microns thick, over a solid sterling silver base. Anything thinner, or gold over brass, is gold plate, however thick it is. Vermeil survives years of regular wear, while flash plating wears through at contact points within weeks.

What is the best metal for custom earrings?

For most brands, solid 925 sterling silver is the best core metal because it does not wear through to a base underneath and can be polished back after years. Choose gold vermeil for a premium gold tier, implant-grade titanium for sensitive or freshly pierced ears, and plated brass or zinc for short-run fashion ranges.

Are custom earrings hypoallergenic?

They can be, if the whole finding is made in a nickel-free material. Customized Earrings builds hypoallergenic earrings with implant-grade titanium or 316L surgical steel for the post, butterfly or clutch and connecting components, so a titanium post is never paired with a nickel-bearing backing.

What is the best earring material for sensitive ears?

What is the difference between hard enamel and soft enamel earrings?

Soft enamel leaves the metal lines raised above the color, so it feels textured and is slightly cheaper. Hard enamel is polished flat and glassy and reads as the more premium finish. Both hold their color permanently, because the enamel sits in recessed metal cells instead of on the surface.
